Terms and Conditions
INTRODUCTION
To help you get the best out of Dance Concepts and to understand our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us, please read the following terms and conditions carefully. These policies are in place to safeguard the wellbeing of our students and to maintain the high standards and joyful experience Dance Concepts is known for.
We reserve the right to refuse entry to classes if these terms are not followed. This document is reviewed and updated regularly, so we encourage parents and guardians to read it thoroughly. If you have any questions, please contact us at amydanceconcepts@gmail.com.
1. Payments and Fees
1.1 Starting from July 2025, Dance Concepts offers two payment options:
- Termly payments: Paid in full before the first class of each term. This is the default option on our website.
- 10-month subscription: Monthly payments are taken automatically on the 1st of each month, from September through June. No payments are taken in July or August.
1.2 All registrations and payments must be made through our website, which links to ClassForKids. We do not accept cash, cheques, bank transfers, or manual payments.
1.3 You must choose and set up your preferred payment option at the time of booking. If you wish to opt into the 10-month subscription, you must email us at amydanceconcepts@gmail.com before booking.
1.4 We reserve the right to adjust fees or payment schedules. You will be notified by email in advance of any changes.
1.5 Fees are based on 38 weeks of classes, and if paying by subscription, the total cost is spread evenly over 10 months.
1.6 An annual membership fee of €30 per student is charged at the start of each dance year. This covers:
- A birthday card
- Annual report card
- 1x class t-shirt
- Admin setup, customer service, communications
- Systems, tech, insurance, and music licences
- Instructor planning and team training
- In-class props and equipment
- Early bird access to events and workshops
- Priority registration for the new term
1.7 Missed or late payments may result in your child losing their place in class. If you’re having trouble paying, please contact us – we’re here to help.
1.8 All payments are non-refundable, including class fees, membership fees, and event costs.
1.9 We offer a trial class pass for new students: €20 for two consecutive weeks of classes (one per student only).
2. Cancellations and Missed Classes
2.1 To cancel a class place, you must give one month’s written notice via email. Subscription payments will continue during this notice period.
2.2 Classes with fewer than six students may be subject to cancellation.
2.3 Missed classes are still payable. A make-up class may be offered where appropriate.
3. Uniform and Clothing
3.1 Dance Concepts merchandise and uniform can be ordered via our website.
3.2 No jewellery or accessories may be worn in class for safety reasons.
3.3 Proper uniform is expected at every class.
3.4 Hair should be tied up neatly in a ponytail or bun.
3.5 Students participating in performances will be required to pay a small costume contribution fee.
4. Classes and Performances
4.1 We are committed to offering fun, structured, and disciplined dance training. If a student is consistently disruptive, we may speak with parents and, if necessary, pause their participation.
4.2 Promotional photos and videos may be taken during the year. If you do not wish for your child to be included, please notify us in writing.
4.3 Mobile phones are not permitted in the studio unless used for learning purposes. Phones will be returned at the end of class if misused.
4.4 Dance Concepts is not responsible for lost or damaged belongings. Please label all items with your child’s name.
4.5 Children will not be released without a parent or guardian unless prior arrangements have been made.
4.6 While we take every precaution to ensure a safe environment, Dance Concepts is not liable for any injuries incurred during class.
4.7 Please inform us if you will be late collecting your child. Late pick-up fees may apply.
4.8 To add or drop a class, email amydanceconcepts@gmail.com and update your ClassForKids account.
5. Behaviour and Conduct
5.1 Bullying, rudeness, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated. A positive, respectful environment is essential to us.
5.2 Our ethos is rooted in building confidence through clear boundaries and kindness.
5.3 Disrespectful behaviour from students or parents may lead to membership termination.
6. General Policies
6.1 Medical conditions must be disclosed at registration and kept up to date by the parent/guardian.
6.2 Communications are sent via email and WhatsApp. Please check these regularly and ensure our emails are not filtered into spam folders.
6.3 Physical contact may occasionally be required for corrections or partner work. We ensure all interactions follow safe practice guidelines.
6.4 If a class is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather or illness), no refund will be issued, but we will do our best to offer a make-up class.
6.5 Participation in shows, workshops, and events is optional.
